Material and workmanship may be different
Two suppliers may quote from the same product photo but use different materials, thickness, weight, accessories, surface treatment, or production process. Products can look similar but cost very different amounts to make.
Do not ask only for a price. Ask what material, size, weight, and workmanship standard the price includes.
Packaging and certification affect cost
Plain packaging, retail boxes, custom labels, manuals, barcodes, and certification testing all affect price. If packaging and certification are not clearly written in the quote, extra costs may appear later.
MOQ changes the unit price
One supplier may quote based on 500 units while another quotes based on 3000 units. When comparing prices, always compare MOQ, price tiers, and sample price together.
Trade terms and shipping conditions matter
EXW, FOB, CIF, DDP, and other trade terms include different responsibilities. A quote that looks higher may include more service or logistics responsibility.
A low quote can hide risk
A low quote is not always bad. But if the supplier refuses to explain specifications, gives an unclear quote, avoids sample confirmation, or pushes you to pay quickly, be careful.
